Why is New Employee
Training Important?
Training program
teaches the starters or new hires about the company policies, employee roles,
department structure and so on…
When employee training sessions are conducted effectively the new hires
contribute much to organization. If training sessions are disjointed, the new
hires will struggle to catch up the operating procedures, company culture and
policies.
New employee training sessions are conducted for practical reasons such
as to provide insights into the job role, familiarity with company policies and
procedures, demos on how to use the enterprise tools. If new employees are
supported in initial days of job, then they can built the morale and can face
un certainties. Training is very important for new hires because, after
training reporting manager will observe the employee performance before and
after training how he is handling the tasks, his communication skills, how he
is mingling with different departments, any innovative ideas brought by the
employee that improved the organization to next level, errors made by the new
hire, how he is reacting to situations.. these all the things will be considered
and rating will be given by the relevant persons which influence the employee.
Hence, it is important for companies to train new employees:
Ø Employees will come to know company’s vision, achievements.
Ø Employees will learn rules, regulations that apply to their job responsibilities.Ø Employees understand how the organization and their department operates.
